Capitals is the new project from Araya (Benbecula Records) and lead singer of Cinematics, Angus Carbarns. Touted on Radio 1 by Vic Galloway and recieving top live reviews for their recent live performances, this duo are the hottest and newest electronica project to come out of Scotland in 2010 and are set to become a touor de force in 2011.

Megamegaman is the brainchild from Chris Stevens, Glasgow based producer also responsible for the Heartbeats Collective, a collection of Glasgow electronica producers releasing free music under Heartbeat compilations. He has worked closely with Spectra (formerly known as Spectrum) and has supported some top acts over 2010. His style is a mix of balls to the wall techno with chiptune esq melodies and massive basslines.

Kvetch is the side project from Sean Gillespie of Integra TV. This will be his first full outing as Kvetch. Sean has kep this project under wraps for a very long time and even at this stage we are still unsure what to expect. we have listened to snippets of his latest work behind the scenes and we can tell you it is very good. How he will do this live just makes it all the more exciting. Please contact Integra TV if you want more info on Kvetch.

Sorry for the spelling error Megamegaman

We would like to apologise to Megamegaman for spelling his name wrong on the initial flyer. Even though we felt the incorrect spelling was more amusing. Megamegman.  lol.

Here is the new flyer with correctly spelled artist names. Big up to Craig, our designer for doing this correction within 10 minutes of being informed of the error.

TRONIC will be 5 years old in January. Has it really been that long. Seems like just yesterday that we opened our doors to the electronic community in Glasgow and beyond, certainly been an amazing 5 years and we have no intention of stopping, in fact we are already expanding and moving forward in more positive directions.

At the end of the day its all about the artists and the audience. We want to provide top quality electronica to the Scottish community and we want you guys to enjoy the time you spend at TRONIC. We will always be about this. Hence why we have chosen the artists we have for our birthday bash on January 28th.

Capitals are to headline. Consisting of Angus Carbarns of Cinematics and Keir MacCulloch of Araya. Keir has been a regualr at TRONIC for some time now, his output with Araya made us sit up and take notice from the very first gig he did with us at TRONIC. This time he has teamed up with the brilliant vocal talents of Angus from the Cinematics to form Capitals. Enough said really. We simply cannot wait.

Listen to Capitals -

Our support comes from Megamegaman aka Chris Stevens founder of the Heartbeats Collective. Megamegaman is floor stomping and downright filthy music. With a healthy sprinkle of chiptune esq production techniques married with solid techno. His music is a clear winner, no sitting allowed while this producer is tearing it up.

Our opener act for this night will be Kvetch. This is the side project from Sean Gillespie, one half of Integra TV. So far Kvetch is an ellusive project with little or no info eminating from the Integra camp on how this project will take shape. We at TRONIC are very excited to see what Sean will be presenting on the night. Minimal techno, IDM, Ambient, who knows and that air of anticipation is the beauty of this project.
